Every one of us needs to be inspired to shoot photos at some time in our photographic journeys. Sometimes inspiration comes naturally while on other occasions it is just like writer’s block. So how can you get inspired? Can you create inspiration or must you just wait? Let’s take a look at some sources of inspiration.
Positive logical Reasons: Unlike negative logical reasons this one has a great effect on the conscious mind. The more positive reasons you can come up with to keep you moving forward the more likely you will succeed. Always have a list readily available so you can look at it anytime. This type of motivation is great for keeping a person going.
Self-discipline is not a part of motivation. If you take all the motivation in the world but fail to exercise self-discipline and put action behind it you will fail. Failing is OK if you learn from your failures and change the things that made you fail in the first place. But if your failure if due to a lack of action then it’s not really failure it simply a lack of action. Self-discipline requires you to actually go forward with your goals. Take regular small steps towards your final achievement destination. Motivation by itself won’t get you there. The only thing that will make your dreams come true is action.
Meditation may not be your thing, you may call it prayer or you may just like to sit quietly in the garden. And I am not saying that beer creates love gaming, although every polyglot I know speaks a foreign language better after a drink. (Perhaps it promotes relaxation).
We are all motivated to achieve things. We are all pushed to achieve what is outside us. The survival instinct inside us makes us want food. We want to have safe neighborhoods where we can hopefully raise our children. We want the respect of others. We want money. That is why most of us work. Higher ideals do not motivate most of us. That is why when people start discussing issues such as global warming, very few people care. Many people care when you talk about jobs and money. Because that is what immediately motivates us.
I believe that in the home based business industry this is not getting enough attention. People are losing interest and becoming demotivated because the emphasis in the industry is on the “self”; my lifestyle, my travel, the way I want to spend my time, I do want to earn big bucks fast.
These ideas, these notions, are what inspiration really is. We actually have this inspiration all the time, but we ignore or discount the conversation, we make it quiet in our mind, we shout it down with the thoughts of “what needs to be done.” Once we begin to be responsible for our own inspiration, it will reward us by giving us ideas we never thought possible.
