Most people climb into their car each morning, start it up and drive away. As long as the vehicle starts and sounds alright, we don’t consider the small details about the different systems that make up the entire car. However, the moment something begins to sound funny or act funny we become more interested in those minor details and parts.
There are many ways that you can recycle for free, but if you have your recyclables collected then you usually have to pay a service fee. With the increase in the number of people recycling and the increase in operating costs, the cost of recycling is going up. Funding from government sources is being cut and that also leads to an increase in recycling rates. Recycling costs are rising and those costs are being passed onto the consumer.
Stay Legal. Depending on where you live and how you drive you evo there may be different laws you will need to know regarding a new exhaust system. Most states require that vehicles have catalytic converter s installed, Although, not all states check, but if you get caught with out one the fines are outrageous. For off road only or race cars no catalytic converter is fine, this is commonly called a straight pipe, or test pipe. For a street legal car, a high flow cat is recommended. This will add to the cost of your exhaust system, but there will be no power loss like there would be from using a stock catalytic converter. Some states also have noise ordinances, so the sound level coming from your tail pipe needs to be below the legal limit to keep you compliant.
One thing that kept my Honda running at its best performance is by using genuine Honda parts and after sales only. The best thing about original parts is that they give you the same performance and the best value over time.
recycle catalytic converters was first really talked about in the 1970s. However, recycling is a natural thing. Many people recycle and do not even think about it. For example, when you buy something at a garage sale, you are recycling that item. You are taking something someone else would have thrown away and putting it to use. Recycling seemed to catch on all over.
Using an EBC is the safest way to raise boost, it will prevent spiking and over-boosting. But it really comes down to your budget. If you can afford an EBC, get one. If you can’t, go with a MBC. And always keep an eye on that boost gauge. And whatever you are using to control boost, remember to not get carried away, I don’t recommend going regularly over 18psi.
An additional system that is occasionally used with diesel engines is an ammonia system. A small tank of ammonia stores the liquid. It is then sprayed as a mist into the system. The ammonia spray bonds with nitrogen gasses and breaks them down into non-toxic, odorless and biodegradable elements. They are then burned away much as particulate are and the rendered exhaust is that much cleaner.
Recycling will become a way of life if you take the time to make it part of your daily routine. Get in the habit and teach by example. Soon your family will become more conscious of the waste they create, and you will be on your way to having a green family!
