Candle making from home can be a fun task for the whole family, not to mention that you could also turn this fun hobby into a full time business. A candle pouring pot – If you do not have a candle pouring pot then do not worry as you can easily use a double boiler instead. If you do not have a double boiler then you can make one at home with a boiling pot and an empty soup can or coffee can.
The next type of molds are those made of aluminum. It can withstand extreme heat and be used again and again. To clean, stand them upside down on absorbent paper lined baking sheets, pop them in a 150 degree oven for a few minutes for the leftover wax to melt and drip. Aluminum molds produce seamless, smooth candles that usually just slide out when hardened. This rigid material is better for making votive or pillar candles though, and so are generally limited in shape and size.
Now let’s talk about the different densities of gel. Low density gel is also known as CLP grade. It flows and melts the easiest but the consistency is not thick enough to sustain your embed materials. Also, it can only hold approximately 3% fragrance oil since it has reduced polymer quantity. But this doesn’t mean that CLP grade is useless at all. Of course not! If you are making a gel candle with little or no scent then you can use CLP grade.
Procure a candle mould from a nearby craft store and dissolve some paraffin wax in a boiler or microwave. Then transfer it into the candle mold and place a wick in the molten wax. Two pencils can be used horizontally across the candle mold’s top to ensure that the wick remains in its place. After the candle has been cooled overnight, it can be removed from the mold. With these simple Candle making team building instructions, you can make candles, which look so much similar to the ones obtained in shops.
You may also want to color your candles. If you do, there are many different types of dyes available. There are liquid, powdered, and dye chips. Experiment with these different dyes to see what works better in the wax that you are using. You should read the label on each of these types to see how each one is added to the candle wax.
The next thing you have to think about after shopping for materials are unique candle making ideas. This means that you need to beef up your game if you want to make it successful in the end. Think out of the box and do not be afraid to make simple artistic experiments.
