What is a blog? A blog is a combination of a personal webpage and a journal – in some cases. In other cases, it is a way to get customer feedback. Others use blogs as a personal journal. There really is no answer these days to what is a blog, simply because a blog can be many different things, with many different uses – depending on the blogger who is blogging.
Once you have made a new post, don’t forget to ping it! Pinging basically sends out an alert to various top blog directories around the Internet that your blog has received a new posting. This drives a steady stream of new visitors to your blog all the time.
It does take time to set up a blog and it takes effort. It takes time to list the blog in the blog directories. The trick is, as with any WebSite to see if you can get some important “niche” and “original” information into your blog. That will let it stand out to the search engines. Search engines today are putting a great deal of emphasis on “original content”, as can be seen just from the many article submission sites that have become much more stringent in their article acceptance process. Non-original content does no one any good. So put “original” content into your web Blog.
The first important thing you should do is to select your niche. After selection of your niche, you should make a list of your favorites. If you do not have an existing blog, you need to register online blogs. There are free blogs that you can register with. When you are through with the registration, you should select the feel and look. You can personalize the layout of the blogs.
First and foremost, the topic must interest you and it must be something that you are surely knowledgeable about. Your blog should be as interesting as possible and unique so that it would stand out among all other blogs. To achieve this, you have to define your target audience so that it would be easier for you to come up with certain topic to discuss that could catch their attention. Aside from that, your style of writing must be in simple English so that all types of people may be able to understand what you are trying to convey.
But in my experience blogging is over looked by most internet marketers, and online business owners as well for that matter, because they have to ‘work’ at producing quality and reader relevant content on a regular basis. How do I know Track my training are overlooked? Easy… The internet marketing students and online business owners I regularly coach never discuss blogging! Sure they’ll talk all day about PPC, Google slap, SEO… but never blogging.
Okay, this is what I am talking about when it comes to bad blogging advice. What’s sad about this is that people get sucked into this crap and end up spending a bunch of money on worthless backlinks from worthless blogs.
Nevertheless, other bloggers can also suggest books written by fellow bloggers and receive an affiliate payment. As a result of how do blogs make money, marketers are paid among 33%-50% to recommend books and products written by other bloggers.
